Event Mode 🎸 Event Mode lets you match with people attending the same events—festivals, conferences, or local meetups. How It Works 1. Go to Settings → Discovery 2. Find Event Mode at the top 3. Toggle on the events you're attending 4. You'll now see others going to the same events Current Events - Stagecoach 2026 (Indio, CA) - More events added regularly Why Use Event Mode? - Meet before you arrive – Start conversations ahead of the event - Find your people – Connect with others who share your interests - Make plans – Coordinate meetups at the event - Skip the awkward – You already have something in common Tips - Enable Event Mode a few weeks before for best results - Mention the event in your bio to start conversations - Works alongside Go Global and Search Radius settings Perfect for festivals, conferences, and any gathering where you want to meet like-minded people.

Discovery Settings

Discovery Settings Control who can find you and who appears in your feed. Go Global 🌍 Makes you visible to anyone worldwide who also has Go Global enabled. When to use: You're open to long-distance connections or travel frequently. Enable: Settings → Discovery → Toggle Go Global on Travel Mode ✈️ Appear in a different city without being there. When to use: Planning a trip and want to meet people ahead of time. Enable: Settings → Discovery → Toggle Travel Mode on → Search for your destination Limit: Change location up to 3 times per day. Search Radius 📍 Controls how far away potential matches can be. Options: Nearby to 100+ miles (disabled when Go Global is on) Adjust: Settings → Discovery → Drag the slider Age Range 👥 Set the age range for potential matches (18-50 years). Adjust: Settings → Discovery → Use the Age Range sliders Quick Tips - Traveling soon? Enable Travel Mode a few days before - Want more matches? Try Go Global or increase Search Radius - Quality over quantity? Narrow your settings Adjust anytime based on your goals.

Open the conversation 2. Tap the X button 3. Confirm to unmatch This makes room for new connections. Signing In Rove uses Sign in with Apple for secure, private authentication. Requirements - iOS device – Rove is currently iOS only - Apple ID – Required for sign-in - Phone number – For verification How to Sign In 1. Open the Rove app 2. Tap Continue with Apple 3. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password 4. Enter your phone number for SMS verification 5. AI Chat Ratings Rove uses AI to analyze conversations and assign MPAA-style ratings, helping you understand the tone of your chats at a glance. How It Works Every message in a conversation is analyzed by our AI system. Based on the content, the conversation receives a rating that updates in real-time. You'll see this rating displayed in your inbox next to each conversation. Rating Scale | Rating | Meaning | |--------|---------| | G | Friendly, wholesome conversation | | PG | Flirty and playful content | | PG-13 | Some suggestive content | | R | Sexual or strong language | | X | Explicit or inappropriate content | Why We Have Ratings - Transparency – Know the tone before opening a chat - Safety – Quickly identify inappropriate behavior - Awareness – Understand how conversations are progressing - Moderation – Help maintain community standards What Gets Rated The AI looks at: - Language and tone - Topic appropriateness - Suggestive or explicit content - Overall conversation direction Privacy & Data - Messages are processed securely - Analysis is done by AI (OpenAI) - Ratings are private to participants - We don't read your messages manually Content Guidelines While ratings help categorize tone, some content is never allowed: - Harassment or threats - Illegal content - Spam or scams - Gore or extreme content Violations may result in content removal or account action. The Shot System Rove limits active conversations to keep dating intentional. This is what we call the "Shot System." How It Works - Men can have up to 3 active conversations at a time - Women receive messages in an inbox capped at 3 conversations - When you match, you're using one of your "shots" - Free up a shot by ending a conversation Why Limits? Unlike apps where you can swipe endlessly and collect hundreds of matches you'll never talk to, Rove forces intentionality: - Focus – Give real attention to each person - Action – Move conversations forward - Quality – No more match graveyard - Respect – People aren't disposable options Shooting Your Shot When you see someone you like: 1. View their profile 2. Tap to send a like ("shoot your shot") 3. If they like you back, you match 4. You now have an active conversation Freeing Up Your Shot Not every conversation works out. To free up a slot: 1. Open the conversation 2. Tap the X or unmatch option 3. Confirm your choice This opens up space for new potential matches.
