Getting Started

Getting Started with Rove Welcome. Here's how to be up and running in about five minutes — and the first things worth knowing as you begin. Download Rove is iOS only right now. Search "Rove Dating" in the App Store, or find us at apps.apple.com/us/app/rove-dating. Android support is on the roadmap. We're prioritizing Apple's verification system first because it's the gold standard for identity and keeping the platform free of fake profiles. Create Your Account 1. Open Rove and tap Continue with Apple 2. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password 3. Verify your phone number with the code we send No email signup. No password to forget. No bots. Build Your Profile A strong Rove profile is honest, specific, and shows a life — not a performance. Photos (3–6) - At least one clear, current photo of your face - A mix of angles, expressions, and settings - At least one full-body shot - Choose natural over heavily filtered — authenticity reads on Rove Bio Share what you actually care about, what you're looking for, and what makes you, you. A few specifics beat a wall of adjectives. "Raised in Chicago, moved to Salt Lake for the mountains. Climbing, strong coffee, long dinners. Looking for someone who wants a real life together." Intentions Rove matches on relationship goals. Choose the one that's actually true: - Looking for a serious relationship - Open to dating and seeing where it leads - Marriage-minded If your goal changes, update it. Misalignment wastes everyone's time. Permissions Rove Will Ask For - Photo Library — to upload profile photos - Location — to show you nearby matches (optional but recommended) - Notifications — so you know when a shot arrives or a conversation moves All are optional except what's needed for identity verification. You can change these anytime in iPhone Settings → Rove. Your First Day on Rove - Browse in Discovery. Take your time. - Take a shot thoughtfully — you have three. - Read fully before you write. Specifics land. - Expect silence sometimes. That's part of a real system. - Move offline when the energy is right. Rove is designed to be left. The Rove Philosophy Rove isn't built to keep you on the app. It's built to help you meet someone, clearly and confidently — and then get on with your life together. Your goal is to meet in real life. Keep it real, move it forward, or free up your shot. Signing In

Signing In with Apple ID Rove uses Sign in with Apple for every account. No email signup, no password. It's faster, more private, and the reason we can promise real people on the other side of every profile. Why Apple ID - Identity verification — Apple verifies every Apple ID with phone and biometrics. That verification extends to your Rove profile. - Privacy — Apple doesn't track your activity across apps. - Security — Two-factor authentication is built in; biometrics unlock the app. - Simplicity — Nothing to remember. - Hide My Email — you can keep your real email address private from us; Apple handles forwarding. Requirements - An iOS device running iOS 13 or later - An active Apple ID - A phone number capable of receiving SMS How to Sign In 1. Open the Rove app. 2. Tap Continue with Apple. 3. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password. 4. Enter your phone number. 5. Enter the verification code we text you. That's it. You're in. Switching Devices Your Rove account is tied to your Apple ID, not your device. Sign into your new iPhone with the same Apple ID, open Rove, tap Continue with Apple, and your profile, matches, and conversations are all there. Troubleshooting Can't sign in? - Make sure your iOS is version 13 or later. - Check that your Apple ID is properly set up in Settings → [your name]. - Confirm you have a stable internet connection. - If Sign in with Apple isn't prompting you, restart the app. Verification code didn't arrive? - Confirm the phone number is correct, including country code. - Wait 60 seconds, then tap Resend Code. - Make sure SMS from unknown senders isn't blocked. - Check that you have cell or Wi-Fi calling signal. Signed out unexpectedly? - Re-open the app and sign in again. - Your profile, photos, matches, and conversations are all preserved. - If sign-in fails after the second try, contact us — we can help. Using a private Apple ID relay email? - Completely fine. Rove doesn't need your real email. Apple forwards anything we send through to you. - If you ever stop forwarding from Apple's private relay, you may miss account notifications. You can re-enable it in Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple → Rove. Deleting Your Account Sign in, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, conversations, and data from Rove. You can create a fresh account later with the same Apple ID if you want to come back.
